The gaming community is buzzing this morning from some supposedly leaked scans of a possible PSPhone would give it a full 480 x 272 display, mini-analog stick, and drop UMD in favor of playing full PSP games via M2. Turns out they’re scans from Stuff magazine from months ago, which seems to have passed under everyone’s radar (including our own, initially) because so few people seem to actually read it.
[Via PSP Fanboy, with help from Engadget Español]
“New in 2008: July-Dec
Top box: Between both keyboards there is a 3 inches screen with the same resolution of the PSP (480×272 pixels) which guarantees a good gaming experience. Good as well for movies.
Lower right box: PSP functionalities were replicated in this architecture, making possible that all PSP games can be played. It won’t have UMD slot, but it’ll have M2 cards instead
Left box: Slide on one side and you’ll find a joypad with analog stick for PSP controls. Slide to the other side and a number keyboard will show up enjoying the ergonomics of Sony Ericsson.
Plenty of opinion, final word: Probability of existence: 35%”

This has got to be one of the more geeky hacks that I have seen of late. One thing is for sure, Lars’s hacking skills are clearly better than his or her Tetris skills. This is a full custom code of Tetris for the oscilloscope screen, which I think is just incredible. Great job Lars, you have true programming skills. Now if you need some lessons on Tetris strategy, I can give you some pointers, I have an hourly rate which is purely to allow me to feature “Tetris Consultant” on my resume. If that does not land me a high paying executive job, I don’t know what will.
A video of Oscilloscope Tetris and the answer to the ultimate question, “does it play doom?” after the jump.

Does it play Doom? This is not the same oscilloscope, but it is clearly the second greatest game of all time on an oscilloscope screen.

I love motorbikes, though I do not currently own one, I am planning on getting one. It has been a long time since I have ridden anything with less than two wheels (not counting my mountain bike) so when I do get back on the saddle, it will be with something fairly mild. The Kawasaki Ninja 250R is a zippy looking 250 at a price that suits my meager resources. Kawasaki has done well with this one, it is a complete redesign of a classic model.
I am not posting up any stats or things, because there is so much useful information in the video that it would be redundant.
The video, price and a few more pictures are after the jump.

Life
The world would be such a cruel, cruel place without perfectly cooked eggs during the mornings. Wouldn’t you love something like the Dippy Egg Set ensuring you get your egg-filled breakfast?
The surly-looking Boiley the Microwave Egg Boiler can cook your egg in the microwave to perfection. Place your egg on the base, add in water, screw the top over and microwave it. As easy as that. Cook your egg the way you like it — soft, medium, or hard — for 3 to 5 minutes.

And of course, to complement your perfectly cooked egg, you should have perfect soldiers such as the Perfect Soldier Cutter can do. Simply stamp the hand cutter onto the bread, put it on your toaster, and you have your perfectly shaped soldiers.

It is a while since we told you about the MiniCAT, but now we have the OneCAT, costing just £2,500 ($5,000), weighing 350kg, and running on Air!
Well we don’t exactly have it yet as it is a proof of concept, but an engineer is promising to bring the car, powered by compressed air, to the market within the year.
So what do we know about air compressed powered cars…
- The tanks can be filled with air from a compressor in just three minutes - much quicker than a battery car.
- Alternatively, it can be plugged into the mains for four hours and an on-board compressor will do the job.
- For long journeys the compressed air driving the pistons can be boosted by a fuel burner which heats the air so it expands and increases the pressure on the pistons. The burner will use all kinds of liquid fuel.
Naturally there is no MPG, but the equivalent on a long journey would be 120 mpg! I would actually like one of these to run around in, especially as it claims to seat five people.
