The FCC has just approved Nokia’s newest cameraphone, the N6220 classic which doesn’t look like any of the latest N-series mobile phones. But what the 6220 lacks in the trendy physical design, it made up through its high-end features. Topping the list of these features are a whooping 5-megapixel camera with Xenon flash, GPS and the latest version of the S60 operating system.
The Nokia 6220 either make the other Nokia high end phones pale in comparison or match them up with its own powerful features. The 6220 is better than the Nokia N82 with its built-in geotagging which will embed location of the 6220 users whenever there is a GPS signal in that location. The 6220’s video capability matches up with the N95, N82 and other Nseries phone with its 30fps shooting speed at VGA (640×480) resolution. And the 6220’s TV-out capability is not common among Nokia N-Series models.
With a Nokia phone that packs all those high-end features, some people are wondering why the 6220 will not be released as an Nseries phone model. Unfortunately, the 6220, despite having all those features has no Wi-Fi support. The Nokia developers might have been too busy sprinkling the 6220 with features that they forgot to include one basic feature common to high-end phones today.
Other than the lack of Wi-Fi and the TV-out feature, there is nothing more peculiar about the 6220. This could probably explain why it was not given the N marking. It would not add anything new to the Nseries model.

In a move similar to Google, Microsoft and a slew of other Web 2.0 companies, Adobe now offers a Web-based version of Photoshop, called Photoshop Express, for free. It is a basic version, and obviously does not have all of the features of the full version or even the cheaper Photoshop Elements, but will probably satisfy a decent chunk of the Photoshop target market.
So for all of you warez fans out there, quit downloading illegal copies of Photoshop and using faked keys!
Check out Photoshop Express.

Samsung have released a new touchscreen phone that seems strangely familiar. The new Samsung AnyCall Haptic is a sleek looking device with a huge 3.2″ touchscreen that features a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio for optimal multimedia viewing. It also features a nifty new user interface as you can see from the pics, but it all looks, well…like an iPhone!
Of course, there are a few extra tweaks added to the mix. The touchscreen, for example, comes with haptic functionality, with the phone vibrating slightly whenever you drag your finger over a button. You also get mobile TV in the form of DMB, as well as bluetooth and an mp3 player, but the camera is only 2 megapixels.
The Samsung haptic, then, is a great looking phone, and is proof, if any were needed, of the influence the iphone has had on the mobile market. My guess is that soon all phones will have touchscreens, and in a few years’ time we’ll look back at our current devices and wonder what on earth all the buttons were for!

It’s been a little while since we caught sight of Kodak’s last batch of digital photo frames, but the company’s now come back for another go ’round with a trio of new EasyShare frames, each of which pack Kodak’s newfangled “Quick Touch” borders. That feature lets you scroll though photos simply by sliding your finger along the border, as well as giving you control over all the frame’s other functions via the interface pictured above. Apart from that, the frames appear to be pretty standard fare, with the M820 and M1020 models boasting 8 and 10-inch screens, respectively, along with the usual audio and video support, 128MB of built-in memory, and accommodations for all the most used memory card formats. If that’s more than you need, you can also opt for the 7-inch P720 model, which hangs on to the Quick Touch border but drops everything but the most basic photo frame features. Look for all three of ‘em to start shipping on April 16th, with the P720, M820 and M1020 setting you back $120, $180, and $230, respectively.

Mobile phones have gone on to become an obsession with the 21st century folks. This inspires the engineers to devise newer technologies in mobile phone world. Going by the resources, Samsung launched their shiny new i458, a DAP Phone (Digital Audi Player).
Focusing a whole lot on music with a Bang & Olufsen ICEpower amplifier, microSDHC slot sustaining up to 4GB cards and built-in speaker, Samsung’s i458 definitely looks forward to present a good option to existing music phones. Supporting Symbian S60 v3.1 with 2.4-inch display and 3.5G HSDPA connectivity, the i458 stands a good chance of being a decent phone. The DAP is equipped with 25MB of internal memory, 3.5mm audio jack. The dual-slide is parallel to that on Nokia’s N95. Final word on measure and price; the i458 measures 101 x 52 x 17.8mm, weighs 110g and will be priced at 14,950 Taiwan dollars ($495 USD).

You may still not be able to get an iphone in Canada (at least officially), but you can now at least grab a spiffy new 16GB Samsung YP-P2, which is a whole 8GB bigger than the model currently available in the US. From the looks of it, Best Buy Canada is the among the first to offer the beefed-up, Bluetooth-packin’ PMP, with it currently demanding $330 Canadian (a $40 discount off the $370 list price) on the retailer’s website. Apart from the bump in storage, however, there doesn’t look to be any other changes to the player, with it boasting the same 3-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth 2.0 support, and H.264, OGG, and WMV playback as before. Of course, it’s not very likely this’ll be a Canadian exclusive for long, though we’ve still yet to hear anything official on that from Samsung.

The KG-DP1 pen does away with the need to type an extensive document, as all you need to do is move the KG-DP1 over the text you want transferred word for word into a Word document. I guess this is great for small passages, since where entire pages are concerned, you’d be better off scanning the entire page and using the provided software to do the dirty job afterwards. Alternatively, the KG-DP1 can be used as a mouse or drawing tool, depending on your preference.
